Roadmap

The roadmap groups your posts by status so everyone — your team and your users — can see what's planned, in progress, and recently shipped. It's the same posts from your boards, organized by where they are in the lifecycle. This is where heedback helps you plan.

The public roadmap

Every workspace gets a hosted roadmap page (and a widget tab) that shows posts in columns by status — typically Planned, In progress, and Done. Votes stay visible, so your users can see (and keep influencing) what you're working on without you sending a single update.

Private roadmap

Plan — Private roadmap is a Team feature. On lower plans the switches aren't offered; a roadmap that is already private stays private (nothing is republished for you), and you can always turn it back public.

Sometimes you want feedback collected in the open but the plan kept in — sequencing and timing can be competitively sensitive even when the individual requests aren't. Private roadmap lets you keep your boards public while the roadmap is visible only to signed-in members of your workspace.

There are two switches, and they're independent:

• Workspace roadmap — under Settings → Private roadmap. Turning it on hides /{workspace}/roadmap from non-members immediately, and sets the default for any product you create afterward. It never changes a product roadmap that already exists.
• Per-product roadmap — a switch on each product row under Products. When a product's roadmap is private, its posts also drop off the combined workspace roadmap for everyone (members read that product's plan on its own roadmap page).

Turning either switch off is never gated — a workspace that has lapsed from Team can still make its roadmap public again.

What the public sees

A non-member who opens a private roadmap URL gets a plain "page not found", identical to a mistyped link, and the Roadmap tab disappears from the portal navigation for them. Your dashboard and the admin roadmap are unaffected — makers always see every roadmap item. Roadmap-privacy changes are recorded in the audit log.

Prioritizing with effort & impact

Deciding what goes on the roadmap is the hard part. In the dashboard, makers can score posts on effort and impact and sort the admin roadmap by the result — a lightweight triage view that surfaces the high-impact, low-effort work first. Scores are internal; they never show on the public roadmap.

Moving posts along

Change a post's status from the board or the roadmap and it moves columns instantly, on both the public page and the widget. When something reaches done, close the loop with a changelog entry.
