Private boards

Plan — Private boards are available on Team and above. On lower plans the privacy switch isn't offered, and a board that is already private stays private — nothing is republished for you. Upgrade at accounts.frugalsaas.com/billing.

Most boards are meant to be seen — but some feedback (internal bugs, employee requests, anything mid-triage) shouldn't go out to the world. A private board stays visible only to your team: it's excluded from the public portal, the roadmap, the changelog, and the embeddable widget entirely.

Turning it on

Each board has its own switch, on the board's own page in the dashboard. New boards are public by default, so nothing changes for your existing setup unless you turn a board private yourself.

If most of the boards you create should start private, set the workspace default under Settings ("New boards are private by default"). That only changes what a new board starts as — it never moves an existing board, so switching the default is always safe to revisit later.

What your team sees

Boards you've made private carry a Private label wherever they're listed in the dashboard, so it's obvious at a glance which ones are internal-only.

What the public sees

Nothing — a private board's public page, widget endpoint, roadmap entries, and changelog entries all return as if the board doesn't exist. Anyone outside your team hitting the URL directly gets a plain 404.

Private boards is a Team-plan feature.
